Maharashtra sportspersons all ready to rock at 2022 National Games in Gujarat

Pune: Having missed finishing in top five at the last National Games in Kerala in 2015, Maharashtra sportspersons have geared up to come up with laurels in the upcoming National games to be held at various centres in Gujarat.

The Maharashtra Olympics Association(MOA) on Thursday organised a meet and greet session for around 700 sportspersons, who are currently undergoing pre-departure training at the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Balewadi . Sports Minister  Girish Mahajan, Ajitdada Pawar and Namdeo Shirgaokar, the MOA representative were present on the occasion also present was Sports Commissioner Suhas Divse, who advised the athletes to keep their focus on their job at hand.

Mr Shirgaokar hoped that more the medals Maharashtra Athletes win, there will be greater chance of sportspersons from Maharahtra returning with medals from the next year’s Asian games in China.

Besides the farewell ceremony,

Th MOA on Thursday launched its social media sites through which anyone could access information about the sportspersons and Mahaharashtra’s standing in the upcoming Games.
