Artist Krupa Shah Empowers Needy Students in Vav Village, Gujarat by Providing 300 Bicycles and Educational Support

The project enhances access to education for underprivileged students in Vav Village, Gujarat

Wednesday, 14th June, 2023: Krupa Arts Foundation, led by renowned Artist Krupa Shah, has launched a transformative project to support the education of underprivileged students in Vav village, Gujarat. As part of this initiative, 300 bicycles, along with other educational support, have been provided to needy students studying in secondary and higher secondary classes.

The event witnessed the distribution of 300 bicycles to the enthusiastic students, who expressed their gratitude to Krupa Shah and her team for their unwavering support. Shri. Chandrakant R. Patel, President of the Gujarat BJP, expressed his regret for not being able to attend the event due to unavoidable circumstances but extended his best wishes and full support to Krupa Shah and the foundation for their successful endeavour. Esteemed guests, including Umeddhanji Gadhvi (Former Minister, Banaskantha District BJP), Harisinhji Vezia (Former Sarpanch), Bharatsinh Odha (Sarpanch of Vav village), Thakarshibhai Bhoya (Deputy Sarpanch), P.S.I. A.G. Rabari, Principal Manabhai (Tirthgam School), and teachers from various schools, attended the event and congratulated the foundation for its commendable initiative.

Commenting on the occasion, Artist Krupa Shah – Founder of Krupa Arts Foundation said, “The power of education to transform lives is immeasurable. Through this project, we aim to provide students in Vav village with the tools they need to overcome the barriers that hinder their educational journey. By providing bicycles and educational support, we hope to empower these students, ensuring they have the means to attend school regularly and achieve their full potential. We believe that education is the key to building a brighter future for individuals and their communities. Lastly, I would personally like to thank Sudhaji and Lalitbhai Mehta for their generous donation and Shree Narayan Seva Trust for helping us secure funds from America to support this noble cause.”

Vav village, located in the Banaskantha district of Gujarat, faces the challenge of students having to undertake long commutes of at least 4-6 kms to reach the nearest high school. The lack of transportation options and associated expenses often lead to students dropping out of school. Furthermore, the arduous journeys make them tired, insecure, and susceptible to irregular attendance. In many cases, students are forced to work in the village or assist with household chores instead of pursuing their education. Understanding these difficulties, Krupa Arts Foundation's project aims to bridge the gap and enable students to complete their high school education.

The provision of bicycles and educational support is a significant step toward empowering these economically weaker students. With a bicycle in hand, students feel empowered, secure during their commute, and are more likely to attend school regularly. This newfound convenience saves them time and energy, leading to improved academic performance and reduced dropout rates, especially among girls. The project seeks to address the underlying socio-economic barriers that hinder students' educational progress.

Krupa Arts Foundation is dedicated to supporting the education of more than 300 students in Vav village, Banaskantha District. This comprehensive approach not only provides bicycles but also offers additional educational assistance to ensure students can continue their high school education with excellence. By empowering students through education, the foundation aims to foster their personal growth, decision-making abilities, and their roles within their families and society.
