50th Samartha Summer Sports Coaching Camp to Kick Off in Mumbai

Shree Samartha Vyayam Mandir, Dadar, renowned for its commitment to promoting physical fitness and sportsmanship, proudly announces the commencement of the 50th Annual Samartha Summer Sports Coaching Camp. Under the esteemed guidance of Padmashri Uday Deshpande, chief coach, the camp is set to take place from April 17th to April 26th, 2024, at Samartha Kreeda Bhavan, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Park, Dadar (W), Mumbai 400028.

Open to participants of all ages, ranging from 5 to 95 years, the camp offers flexible timings in both morning (7 to 9 a.m.) and evening (5 to 7 p.m.) batches. 

The 50th Samartha Summer Sports Coaching Camp promises a holistic training experience aimed at enhancing basic abilities and fostering a passion for physical activity. Participants will engage in a diverse range of exercises, including Yoga, Soorya Namaskar, Free Hand exercises, and various movement-based activities. The curriculum, designed by State and National Champions of the Institution, emphasizes exercises without apparatus, walking, running, jumping, balancing, hanging, climbing, defense, and more.

To ensure the well-being of campers, nutritious meals will be provided free of charge at the end of each session. Additionally, special Physical and Mental Ability Tests will be conducted, with scores analyzed according to age and gender norms to track progress and development.

Eminent personalities will grace the camp's daily ceremonies, including flag hoisting and lowering, as well as the inauguration and valedictory functions. Admission to the camp is limited to 2000 participants, allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
