During the COVID-19 pandemic, Tisca Chopra took the onus to help people get through this tough time. Here’s how
April 28, 2020, Mumbai: The government of India had extended the country-wide lockdown till 3rd May 2020 due to the spread of COVID-19 in the nation. In this quarantine period, a lot of celebrities from B-Town are trying to help their fans through various activities. Some are suggesting good books, some have post videos of cooking and some are spending time learning new things.
Meanwhile, actress Tisca Chopra found a unique way to help the masses through this lockdown. She conducted a live session in her Instagram account with Dr Sanjay Chugh who specialises in Neuro-Psychiatry. The enlightening session lasted for an hour where they discussed poignant issues people are dealing with currently, right from anxieties to parenting, in the lockdown.
As a lot of us are staying home these days along with our family members and many are also doing work from home, so Tisca asked Dr Chugh about how can one overcome the anxiety and mental trouble during the lockdown.
Sharing her thoughts on this, Tisca said, “Due to this pandemic, we all are sitting in our homes and there are chances that we might feel anxious with this drastic change in our lifestyle. Due to this isolation period, anxiety and mental health is a big issue today. We might do Yoga and other workouts to keep ourselves healthy physically but it is equally important to stay fit mentally too and so, I decided to get Dr Chugh on board though by Instagram to explain people a lot of factors related to their psyche.”
She further added, “Dr Chugh is a well-known Neuro-Psychiatrists whom I have known for many years. I urged him to do this so that we can help share the right information and the right strategy to deal with the issues that people are going through. The fight isn’t over yet and I hope that I can keep doing my bit by hosting more sessions like these for everyone.”  
Amidst this lockdown, Tisca Chopra has no doubt efficiently used the social media platforms and tried to help with one of the major obstacles people are dealing with during this lockdown and that is mental health.
