Federal Bank Pune Marathon 2025 celebrates Community Fitness & Active Living
Pune, 5th January 2025: The first edition of Federal Bank Pune Marathon 2025 happened today , Jan 5th 2025 that saw unprecedented enthusiasm, featuring fitness icon and veteran marathon runner Milind Soman as the event's brand ambassador. The event marks a significant milestone in Pune's sporting calendar, bringing together running enthusiasts from across the region. The runners braved the nippy Pune winter to undertake one of the scenic runs.
The annual marathon, which aspires to become a cornerstone event in India's running calendar, featured multiple race categories including the full marathon (42.2 km), half marathon (21.1 km), 10K run, and a 5K fun run, catering to participants of all fitness levels and age groups.
The event commenced at 5 AM from Savitribai Phule Pune University with perfect weather conditions greeting the runners. The carefully planned route took participants through some of Pune's most iconic landmarks, showcasing the city's rich cultural heritage while providing a challenging yet enjoyable running experience.
As the face of the marathon, Milind Soman not only served as brand ambassador but engaged with runners in a fun banter asking them to do push ups, demonstrating his continued commitment to fitness and inspiring participants of all ages. His presence added star power to the event while reinforcing the marathon's message of community wellness and active living.
