International Day of Action for Women's Health - 28th May 2020
May 28 is observed as International Day of Action for Women’s Health, which for over 33 years has been celebrated with the main objective of raising awareness on the issues related to women’s sexual and reproductive health and well-being. Year after year, women, girls, advocates around the world and allies have continued to take action and stand up for sexual and reproductive rights for what they are: an indivisible and inalienable part of our human rights. This day reminds the society that women’s health matters.
Please let me know if you are planning any relevant stories around the same. We are in fact in the process of gathering some insights from the Practo teleconsult platform related to sexual and reproductive health, and how women users have been effectively using the platform to address their health-related queries.
Furthermore, we’d be happy to get quotes from medical professionals on the following:
- What are some of the lifestyle changes women can follow during lockdown/pandemic to maintain wellness and overall health?
- What are some of the tips for women to maintain 'Menstrual Hygiene', especially during summers?
- 5 things that a new mother should keep in mind while breast-feeding her newborn?
- 5 things that expectant mothers should keep in mind during COVID-19?
