CLARIVATE SOUTH ASIA INNOVATION 2023 AWARD FOR THIRD TIME TO UPL

MUMBAI , 18 AUGUST 2023 – UPL LTD. ( NSE: UPL & BSE: 512070 LSE: UPLL ) ( ('UPL' ), A GLOBAL SUPPLIER OF SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS, HAS WON THE CLARIVET SOUTH ASIA INNOVATION AWARD FOR THE THIRD TIME, RECOGNIZING THE COMPANY AS A LEADING INNOVATOR IN THE AGRIBUSINESS SECTOR.

The award is analyzed according to the criteria of patent number (published patents) and patent quality (grant success rate , extent of globalization and citations ). The award recognizes the company's long-standing efforts to create a sustainable and food-safe future, as well as the company's 1,400 patents and 14,000 registrations .

Dr. The award was presented by Unnat Pandit , Controller General of Patents , Designs and Trademarks , Government of India. Clarivate announced the winners on July 28, 2023 at the Innovation Forum in Mumbai , India. The methodology used to select South Asia's leading innovators included a comparative analysis of global invention data to analyze the strength of each patented concept , the use of measures directly related to their innovativeness, and analysis of data from the Derwent World Pattern Index and the Derwent Patents Citation Index.
